“Stereotypes were made to be broken”

People are more than a single definition. For Lauren, it’s bridging the worlds of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with that of media and entertainment.
One one hand, Lauren holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Toronto, works for a Toronto-based technology company and continues to advocate for empowering young women in STEM.
On the media & entertainment side, Lauren first got her start as the In-Arena Host for the Toronto Maple Leafs and was the former Miss Universe Canada, placing in the Top 10 at Miss Universe. She is currently a correspondent for City TV (Breakfast Television, Cityline & 2019 Grammy Red Carpet Coverage), an actress, YouTube creator and is producing a documentary series focused on life for women around the world.
Lauren continues to advocate for a number of causes she is passionate about from ocean and shark conservation to youth empowerment.
